Why I Started
Ethos-Guiding
It is more than a walk in the woods! I've spent 30+years in the public sector as a parks, recreation and conservation practitioner, leading people, teams and agencies to achieve management excellence, environmental stewardship and launching innovative firsts through team building, community engagement, continuous improvement processes and advocacy. Artemis Strategic Consulting further builds upon my desire to work with individuals, teams and organizations who are committed to leading by example, achieving performance excellence and reaching their fullest potential.

My Story
There is an adventure in all of us.
From an early age, I answered the call of the wild, developing a passion for the arts, humanities, nature, and outdoor recreation. With this passion came a profound sense of responsibility for reciprocity and community stewardship.
For over three decades, I have been at the forefront of advancing conservation, community engagement, and parks and recreation at local, county, state, regional, and national levels, serving in various leadership roles. My real-life experiences as a Girl Scout, camp counselor, resident assistant, community builder, and public parks, recreation, and conservation practitioner have honed my business acumen and competencies in marketing and communication, finance, total quality management, programming, project implementation, partnership collaboration, and talent management.
I am committed to providing opportunities and creating experiences that encourage individuals, teams, and organizations to thrive as knowledge is learned and shared.
"Conservation, land protection, and the preservation of our natural and cultural heritage, along with enjoying the outdoors, play a major role in our quality of life and are integral to thriving, sustainable communities across the country. Ensuring these treasured open spaces and natural resources are preserved, restored, and accessible for current and future generations is our personal responsibility and essential to the survival of our species. There is an interconnectivity between health and nature."
